I am a sociologist and social researcher with particular interests in social theory, health and technologies. My current role is as Senior Lecturer in Sociology at Leeds Beckett University. I have previously conducted research into the responsible innovation of medical technologies investigating the conceptualisations and practice of ethics and responsibility amongst research scientists. My doctoral and subsequent research was conducted in the School of Sociology and Social Policy at the University of Leeds, where I have also been employed as a Lecturer in Social Theory, and I have taught at the School of Health and Related Research (ScHARR) at the University of Sheffield.
